These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set forth the conditions for use of the iOS application “Ritsu” (the “App”) provided by Kyosuke Watanabe (the “Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). All users of the App shall use the App upon agreeing to these Terms.

Article 1. Application

  1. These Terms shall apply to all relationships between users and the Provider concerning use of the App.
  2. Any precautions, guidelines, individual provisions, or other rules presented by the Provider within the App, on the Provider’s website, or by any other method shall constitute a part of these Terms.
  3. If the contents of these Terms differ from the individual provisions or other rules referred to in the preceding paragraph, such individual provisions or other rules shall prevail.

Article 2. Definitions

The meanings of the terms used in these Terms shall be as follows:

  1. “User” means any individual who uses the App.
  2. “App” means the reading record management application “Ritsu” provided by the Provider.
  3. “Reading Records” means information related to reading, including books, reading status, reading history, rereading records, impressions, notes, ratings, tags, and other information entered, registered, edited, or stored by the User within the App.
  4. “Bookshelf” means a classification unit created by the User within the App for organizing, categorizing, or managing books.
  5. “Book Information” means information related to books, including book titles, author names, publishers, publication dates, ISBNs, cover images, descriptions, and other book-related information.
  6. “External API” means APIs, databases, services, and other external services provided by third parties and used in the App to search, obtain, or display Book Information.
  7. “Free Plan” means the range of functions of the App that can be used free of charge.
  8. “Premium Plan” means a paid plan for use of additional functions provided in the App.
  9. “Subscription Plan” means an automatically renewing Premium Plan provided on a monthly or yearly basis.
  10. “One-Time Purchase Plan” means a paid plan that allows continuous use of the functions provided as premium functions by the Provider at the time of purchase.
  11. “Premium Functions” means the paid functions set forth in Article 4.

Article 3. License

  1. The Provider grants the User a non-transferable, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive right to use the App for personal and non-commercial purposes, subject to compliance with these Terms.
